Secure World Foundation
Secure World Foundation (SWF) is a leading voice on the importance of space sustainability, reaching audiences around the world and among many different actors. For nearly two decades, SWF has led important research into sustainability issues, providing key inputs into international discussions and initiatives at various commercial and political levels. Through the Summit, SWF has also created a new forum where key actors can exchange views regarding space sustainability on common ground, facilitating cooperation and understanding that cuts across social, economic, and geopolitical lines.
SWF has hosted six previous conferences, including in-person editions in Washington, DC, in 2019, London in 2022, New York City in 2023, and Tokyo in 2024. The conference has grown each year, bringing key figures from industry, academia, and government to share their insights with a growing audience. Last year, the 6th Summit for Space Sustainability in Tokyo saw more than 650 attendees from 37 countries, representing a global spectrum.
The Government of France
For the French Government, the Directorate General for Enterprise (DGE), part of the Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, oversees public policies to boost competitiveness, innovation, and economic development. Committed to industrial, digital, and ecological transformation, it supports businesses and enhances France’s attractiveness. The DGE is in charge of the space policy in France jointly with the general directorate for research and innovation (DGRI), part of the Ministry for higher education and research.
Centre National d’Études Spatiales (CNES)
The Centre National d’Études Spatiales (CNES), France’s national space agency, is a leader in space innovation and exploration since its founding in 1961. Under the authority of the French government, CNES plays a crucial role in advancing scientific research, satellite technology, Earth observation, and international space cooperation. With a strong commitment to sustainability, security, and responsible space governance, CNES is at the forefront of shaping the future of global space policy.
